Al Fernandez became the 83rd Veteran of the 384th to sign the wing panel on 22 January 2014, in Holmes Beach, Florida..

Fernandez was among the very first personnel assigned to the 546th Bomb Squadron in December 1942. Initially rated as a Teletype Operator, he performed many jobs for the duration of the war, finally going home in 1945.
