Bob Birney became the 101st Veteran of the 384th Bomb Group to sign the wing panel on 14 November 2014 in Williamsburg, Virginia.

Birney was the Navigator on the Charles Shuff Crew, which was assigned to the 547th Bomb Squadron in February 1945. He flew 26 combat missions by the time the air war in Europe ended.

Panel Host for this signing event was Keith Ellefson, assisted by Michael Jerrell.
