This was the BIG event! Arriving at the Grafton Underwood Village Hall at 10AM, we got organized and received our orders for the day before pressing on to the memorial. A short service of remembrance was held, with our three Veterans in attendance laying wreaths for their squadrons. Shaye Bureau laid the wreath for the 547th in memory of her father. Back to the Village Hall for lunch and individual visits to the church to see the window, and then the big jeep tour of the base! Indescribable! Later we invaded The Star in Geddington for drinks and dinner before returning to the HQ hotel exhausted - and thirsty...
