Memorial to the Lavin Crew, who crashed near Silly, Belgium on 13 April 1944 following an attack on Schweinfurt. This 547th Bomb Squadron crew usually flew the B-17G 42-97237 named "Royal Flush", but on this day were aboard the unnamed B-17G 42-97274.
The plaque reads (in French):
A la memoire des 6 aviateurs americains
tombes glorieusement dans cette plaine
a Fouleng le 13 avril 1944
pour la liberation de la belgique.
Il n'y a pas plus grand amour
que de donner sa vie pour ses amis.
