Grafton Underwood WWII Memorial

Description : This monument, placed near the southwest end of the main runway of Grafton Underwood Airfield, memorializes the 384th Bomb Group and other units that flew from here to attack German targets during WWII. The first US heavy bomber attack was launched from here, and the last bombs dropped on Germany were from 384th B-17s flying from this airfield.
